I've started this blog to share what's going on in our lives and to seek support. Many of you already know that Jordan went to, and graduated from, Westminster Seminary California in Escondido. He graduated in May 2014 with his Master's of Divinity. Since then we have been on a wild ride. But to be honest, that's nothing new for us.
If you've even remotely followed our lives, you know of our many moves and many adventures. (From Fresno to San Diego to Escondido to Florida, back to Escondido, to San Luis Obispo with my inlaws to an attic apartment in Paso Robles, back to SLO with my inlaws and then finally to Atascadero. In June we were blessed with our own home! A real live house with 2 bedrooms and a yard that allowed our dog. We hope to stay here as long as our landlords let us. :)
For the past 15 months we've called (and continue to call) Covenant Presbyterian Church our home and recently became members. The staff and attenders have become our friends and it feels wonderful to be involved in a great church again. Jordan is now officially on staff as a pastoral intern. He's been preparing and teaching the weekly adult Sunday School lesson and preaches the sermon about once a month. He's on the path to becoming licenced and ordained, once his "call" is established.
Jordan has been working at San Antonio Winery in Paso Robles for one year now and enjoys that "side job". Being focused on the ministry, however, needs to remain his top priority and the majority of his free time is spent working on Sunday school lessons, preparing sermons, attending meetings, keeping up with contacts, evangelizing and seeking out the unchurched in North County.
I've been able to stay home with my kids by watching another child in my home. The opportunity has been a real blessing for our family. I'm exhausted but content most days and know that I have more than I deserve. I also work for a direct sales company called Thirty-One Gifts where I am a Senior Consultant with a small team.
I hope to update this blog about once a month with the latest happenings!! Again, thank you to all of your continued support, whether it be with your encouragement, prayers or finances. We are truly grateful.
Love & Blessings,
The Rossi Family
